Parking at Home Meets

There is limited parking in the club's lower gravel lot. It is available to both teams on a first-come, first-served basis.

Overflow parking in available at the Manassas Mall. Please park in the area closest to the crosswalk (rather than by the mall entrances) and do not block Amazon trucks or any other vehicles. Sudley provides a police officer for traffic control and safety when crossing Rixlew Lane.

For accessible parking at the meet, please contact Dennis Miller.

Home team set-up is on the left side of the upper parking lot as you approach the club. Tents may not be set up in the grass (including the main field) or around the pond.

The grounds of the club, including the field, pavilions, baby pool, and playground, are closed during swim meets, even to members.

Photos & Videos

For the safety of all swimmers, PWSL prohibits the use of cameras (including mobile phones and other devices with imaging or recording capabilities) at the starting end of the pool for starts or relay takeoffs, including warm-ups.

Meet Officials, Timers, Recorders, Judges, Starters, and Referees should not use any device capable of photography while on shift. If a phone must be used, the volunteer should ask for relief and use the device away from the starting end of the pool.

Volunteers in violation of this policy will be relieved of their position and asked to leave the pool deck.

Swimmers shall not bring cameras or recording devices (including mobile phones with those capabilities) with them from Clerk of Course. If a swimmer is found to have a recording device in the starting area, they may, at the Referee's discretion, be disqualified from their next individual event.

Ribbon Ceremony

Our Ribbon Ceremony is a unique Sudley Club tradition in which each swimmer is recognized for their efforts at the meet.

For Dual Meets, place ribbons are awarded for the top 12 places in each event. Achievement ribbons are awarded to swimmers who drop at least half a second in an individual event.

Out of respect for your teammates, please give the coach and swimmers your full attention and stay until all swimmers have been recognized.

The ceremony takes place in the picnic area. The time of the ceremony depends on the length of the meet. Listen for an announcement!
